Tree of Lights

For over 30 years, Hope Hospice has hosted a festive community event known as the Tree of Lights.  Centered around the Christmas Season, Tree of Lights is as a time to both celebrate and remember our loved ones together.  Children are thrilled to see Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive on a fire truck to pose with them for photos and hear their Christmas wishes.  There is a live band to entertain the crowd, a high school choir singing Christmas carols, Hope Hospice volunteers leading craft-making and cookie decorating, and hot chocolate to keep everyone warm.  The highlight is when the 30-foot-tall Hope Hospice Tree of Lights is illuminated with the flip of a switch.  A balloon release or candle-lighting gives added meaning to a night when we pause to remember and celebrate the love of our families and friends. This special gathering has become one of the most popular, iconic events in central Texas.  It is our way of giving back to the communites that have supported us for decades; our way of saying “thank you” for ensuring that our mission to serve those in need never ends.
